Dollars for Missions
The Central Illinois District encourages its congregations to invite their members to contribute one dollar per member per week for missions, in addition to their ordinary offerings. This kind of over-and-above giving is called “A Dollar for Missions” (DFM). The current Dollar for Missions project: 45-year-old insulation in the chancel ceiling at Wittenberg Lutheran Center, Normal has fallen from its original place under the roof. It needs to be replaced, in what figures to be an expensive job calling for ingenious work involving a high ceiling. This DFM project is for $10,000. Find out more here.
