Please share this with your Trinity family.

Collection This Weekend

The Synodical School Scholarship Fund is a scholarship offered to Trinity members attending a Synodical school for church work or a Trinity staff member continuing their education. There will be a collection at church the weekends of May 30-31 and June 6-7 for this fund. Last year, Trinity awarded this scholarship to five students. If you have a Trinity member you would like to nominate, please contact Roger Schlichting.

Narrated Divine Service

Have you ever wondered why our worship is structured the way it is? Each element of the Divine Service has a different purpose that not only allows us to experience God’s Word, but meet Him where He promises to be. For the next two weekends (May 30/31 and June 6/7), our worship services will include a narration to introduce each element of the Divine Service. The first weekend will focus on the Service of the Word, while the second will focus on the Service of the Sacrament. Please join us for these services to deepen your understanding of the richness of our liturgy.

New Bible Study Opportunity

In place of our regular Wednesday night prayer service and Bible study, Pastor Sharp is offering a summer bible study at the Parish Hall. Beginning on June 3, Pastor Sharp will lead a study titled God’s Word in Worship: Studying the Biblical Canticles, an upcoming bible study being published by Concordia Publishing House.

Through this study, we will look at the biblical canticles we sing in the Divine Service, such as the Gloria in Excelsis, This is the Feast, the Sanctus, the Magnificat, and others. We will study the biblical texts these songs are drawn from as well as their place in worship and in our lives beyond the Divine Service.

Childcare will be provided for families with children.

Student/Early Career Ministry: Hike and Brunch, June 6

If you are in the “post-high school/college/young professional/20-something” age group, please join us for our summer kick-off on Saturday, June 6. We will meet at Lincoln Memorial Gardens at 10am (near the entry on the lake side of the road) for a hike. Afterwards (around 11am), we will head to the Lakeman home (2336 Chesapeake Lndg) for brunch and fellowship. We’ll also set the schedule for our Bible Studies and outings for the remainder of the summer. Please contact Pastor Sharp or Amy Lakeman (alakeman8@gmail.com) with any questions.
