Crews have been working on the sidewalk at 2nd St. and Broadway this week. More than likely, the entry to Broadway off of 2nd Street will be blocked on Sunday morning. You will still be able to access the parking lot off of Adams St. and Broadway from Adams St. It is only blocked at the intersection of 2nd and Broadway. The handicap parking spot should be accessible from Adams and Broadway.

Church Basement Workday, Saturday, April 25
Please think about volunteering for this much needed workday. It will be this Saturday, April 25 from 9am-12pm. We specifically need help with two items. One is going through old records. Longer term members will be best suited for this task. The other is basic labor for cleanup. There isn't much left, but there are heavy items that need to be moved out of the basement. Cindy will have safety dust masks, but please bring work gloves. Contact Jill at the church office to sign up for the workday: church@trinity-lutheran.com or (217)787-2323 ext 2

Congregational Voters Meeting Summary
At the April 20 congregational meeting Fred Baskett IV was elected to serve as an Elder. We also heard a report that Trinity was recently the recipient of a large bequest for the care of the Parish Hall. The congregation voted to pursue hiring a daily financial management company. Despite lengthy discussion over this topic the meeting only lasted about an hour and a half! The length of the meeting was largely due to a move to written reports. Contact the church office if you would like to receive reports and information for upcoming voters meetings electronically. Hard copies of written reports will also be available. The next meeting will be July 20, 2026. Of note from the Board of Directors: Mark and Teri Kinnaman were appointed to the Board of Stewardship. Josh Woody was appointed to the Board of Property management. Work has begun to clean out and update the church basement. See the announcement above to find out how you can lend a hand as soon as this coming weekend.
