Surviving The Holidays GriefShare Seminar
Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death. Please join us on Sunday, November 15 from 1-3pm at Trinity Parish Hall, 515 S MacArthur Blvd, Springfield. The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and others who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions. These people share honestly about: •Being prepared for surprising emotions that may hit over the holidays •What to do about traditions and other coming changes •How to handle holiday parties and invitations •How to survive potentially awkward moments with other people •Where to find comfort, strength, and hope in a seemingly hopeless time Those who attend will receive a workbook filled with tips, encouragement, journaling ideas, and exercises for help through the holiday season. Preregistration is requested at www.griefshare.org or Joleen Hoff #217-899-9418 or trinitygriefshare@yahoo.com

We will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, but you are welcome to come anytime after that as your schedule allows.

When you arrive, we will get you plugged into whatever part of the project we are working on at that time. There will be plenty to do throughout the evening, including:
-
Putting away and moving chairs and other items
-
Thoroughly vacuuming the Parish Hall
-
Pre-treating the carpets and working on problem areas
-
Deep cleaning the carpets using a carpet extractor
-
Setting up fans so the carpets can dry overnight

We will also need a second group of volunteers on Saturday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. to help put the Parish Hall back together and have everything ready for church.
Dinner & Drinks Provided!
