Lenten Meal Thank You

Thank you to everyone who attended this week's Lenten Meal hosted by MomCo. About 120 people were served and over $650 was raised to benefit new moms who need assistance with MomCo membership and materials! Thank you to everyone who supported all of our groups this Lenten season!

News from around the Central Illinois District

|
On Good Friday (April 3) a Tre Ore service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Springfield from 12pm-3pm in conjunction with Springfield circuit pastors. A Tre Ore service is a three-hour service broken into seven 20-25 minutes blocks that reflect on the seven last words of Christ and His Passion. People are invited to stay for the whole Tre Ore service, but if you need to leave, one may do so quietly during the five minutes of silent meditation. Feel free to stay, come, and/or go any time during the three hours as your schedule allows as we celebrate and reflect on the Passion of our Lord.

Lutheran High School's 36th Annual Auction is on Friday, April 10. Doors open at 5:30 pm at Northfield Inn and Suites. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, along with a live and silent auction. Tickets are $50 per person. Secure your tickets and sponsorships by March 25!

The Camp CILCA Annual Banquet will be held on Sunday evening, April 12 from 5pm until 8pm. The evening includes live music from the Lutheran High School ensemble, dinner from Nelson's Catering, a presentation from Rev. Jason Braaten on the Christian virtue of patience, and world famous dessert. Tickets are $40 and need to be reserved by Thursday, April 9.
