Upcoming Events

Culver's Night
Fall Fest
Only three weeks until this year's Fall Fest! Starting at 3pm, we will have a food truck, small pumpkins to decorate, yard games, a bounce house, a barrel train and more! After, students will be preforming as apart of the pre-service music before worship begins at 5:30pm. Stick around because at 7pm, Trinity is hosting a concert featuring Concordia University Chicago.
CUC Concert
Join us in welcoming Concordia University Chicago and the Kapelle, Wind Symphony, Chamber Orchestra! There will be two opportunities to hear the gifts God has given these students. The first will be Saturday, October 17 at 7pm, after Fall Fest and the worship service at the School Campus. Or you can join us for our worship service on Sunday, October 18, which will be at 9am at the Downtown Campus. There will be a door offering taken at both campuses to offset the cost of the tour.
October Food Pantry Reminder
The next Food Pantry collection will be on October 3-4. We are currently serving 9 families with your donations. Please drop off your donations to the bins in the narthex of the Church Campus or in the shopping cart in the Parish Hall Lobby at the School Campus. If you are not on the mailing list, you can still contribute. The Food Pantry currently needs: canned veggies, boxes of cereal, toilet paper, and laundry detergent. PLEASE, NO GLASS CONTAINERS. Money donations or gift cards are also welcome, please mark "Food Pantry" on the envelope. If you would like to be added to the food pantry emailing list, please follow this link. Please email Carrie Coon at ccoon@trinity-lutheran.com for questions regarding the food pantry.

Volunteer Opportunities

Trunk or Treat
This year’s Trunk or Treat will be on Sunday, October 25 from 3:00-4:30pm. We are looking for people to host a table/trunk! Contact Melissa Boehme at mboehme@trinity-lutheran.com if you are interested or use this link to sign up. Can't be there? Donate a bag of candy (or two!). Last year we had hundreds of people visit Trinity's campus and you can help us have a successful event by providing an extra bag of candy. Please turn in all donations to the pumpkin bins by the Welcome Centers by Oct. 18.
Farmers Market Counters with Downtown Springfield Inc.
Thank you all for your work supporting Downtown Springfield Inc. by providing volunteers at the Old Capitol Farmers Market. DSI appreciates all of the help we have been able to give so far. We are continuing to help in September and October. Sign up at this link to volunteer. We still need 14 more slots filled for this Saturday, September 19!
Childcare Help
Our Springfield MomCo Community is looking for a few special volunteers to help bring joy to our childcare room! For just 2 hours (9-11am), one morning a month, you can give local moms a rare, uninterrupted break to connect, eat a hot breakfast, and recharge.
If you have a heart for families, a love for kids aged 1–5, and a free morning on the 1st Wednesday of the month, you are exactly who we are looking for. It takes a village, and we would love to have you in ours! Plus breakfast and coffee is included! Email Deaconess Sharp to let her know if you are our person or know of someone else!

Updates and Appreciations

Church Workers Appreciation Month
October is Church Worker Appreciation Month. As you see our Pastors and Deaconess, take a moment to thank them for all that they do for Trinity. We thank God that He has placed them here at this time. We will celebrate them during the Bible Class hour on November 1.
All God's Children
Have you be wondering what to expect at the All God's Children Worship Service? Check out the new video to learn about this service and see if it is right for your needs. Share it with a friend or family member who wants to be in worship, but needs a different setting. Help Trinity support all of God's children.
