Lenten Meal Schedule

Lenten meals will take place on Wednesdays at 5:30-6:30pm at the School Campus cafeteria. The Midweek Lenten Services will follow at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. Come support various missions at Trinity!

Helping Hands Shelter
|
|
|
Since 2008 we have provided over 5,000 meals for the Shelter. The dates scheduled for the remainder of 2026 are: Mar. 31, May 29, July 31, Sep. 30 and Oct. 30. If you or your group are interested in participating in this project, please call Byron Welt at 217 803-0107. A meal will cost approximately $350 (enough to feed 80 people). If you wish to help with funding, please make your checks payable to Trinity Lutheran Church, memo line "Helping Hands". Also, Thrivent cards are welcome.

Thank you to everyone who attended the first Lenten Meal hosted by Trinity's LWML Groups. About 160 people were served and $900 was raised for Trinity's School Scholarship! Thank you!

Illinois Pro-Life March Details - March 19, 2026
|
|
The Illinois Pro-Life March will be held in just over a week, on Thursday, March 19, 2026. There will be a LCMS Matins service prior to the rally and march. We hope you will not only attend the service but also then march in order to confess before the world to the sanctity and dignity of human life, from conception to natural death.
|
- 11:00 AM – Matins at Trinity Lutheran Church, 220 S. Second St., Springfield, IL
- Following the Service – Box lunches available in the Grand Ballroom at the State House Inn, 101 E Adams Street, Springfield, IL (suggested donation of $5/lunch, please; cash or check made out to Central Illinois District)
- 1:00 PM – Rally at the Lincoln Statue in front of the Illinois Capitol Building, 401 S 2nd St, Springfield, IL
- 2:00 PM – The March
- Following the March, consider heading into the Capitol Building to lobby your state legislator and senator.
Parking Parking is available in the lot to the west of the State House Inn, at the northwest corner of the intersection of 1st St. and W Adams St. Please consider carpooling with other marchers from your area in order to reduce the number of cars in the parking lot and ensure spaces for all. Lutheran High School's 36th Annual Auction is on Friday, April 10. Doors open at 5:30 pm at Northfield Inn and Suites. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, along with a live and silent auction. Tickets are $50 per person. Secure your tickets and sponsorships by March 25!
