Start looking through those recipes! This is a true potluck, so bring anything - a main dish, side dish, or a dessert. Food can be dropped off at the Parish Hall any time after 9:15am, or you can bring it with you at noon.

This change of location is being made in order to reduce commute time for those who also wish to take part in the school beautification day. Loss of a Spouse is a 2-hour seminar for people grieving a spouse’s death. It will be held Aug. 16,2026 at Trinity's Parish Hall, 515 S MacArthur Blvd, Springfield, IL from 1-3pm.
The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and widowed men and women.
They offer helpful insights on:
• What to expect in the days to come
• How to deal with the loneliness
• What to do with your spouse’s belongings
• Why it won’t always hurt this much
• And other practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood.
Everyone who attends will receive a booklet with over 30 short readings on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild your life. Preregistration is requested.

The purpose of this meeting is to vote on a resolution to allow the use of unrestricted bequest funds to cover the 2026-2027 fiscal year budgeted deficit while more sustainable solutions are sought. Wednesday Night Discipleship (at 6:00, following the Evening Prayer service which is at 5:30): Dr. Schurb will teach "An Introduction to the Augsburg Confession and Apology." This 13-week study will begin to familiarize participants with the most foundational 16th century Lutheran confessional writing, the Augsburg Confession, and its masterful defense ("apology") published the following year.
