Fine Arts

Trinity Lutheran School places a high value on the fine arts, with music, visual, and performing arts incorporated in purposeful ways from early childhood through 8th grade. With two art studios (one for primary students and another for middle school), and a designated music room, Trinity is blessed with ample space for students to explore their creative gifts.

At the early childhood level, music and art activities are woven into the school day. Chapel services offer additional opportunities for students to sing and gain experience with a variety of instruments. Kindergarten – 4th grade students are introduced to more structured singing and vocal activities in choir class and enjoy art projects and creative activities with their classroom teachers throughout the week. In middle school, Trinity students enjoy weekly art class with the staff art teacher from Lutheran High School, and have the option of continuing with choir classes through our elective classes program.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, students lead congregational Advent services, giving them an opportunity to use their musical gifts to serve the church. Class choirs also contribute to church services throughout the year.

The recorder and handbells are introduced in the primary grades, and middle school students have the option of choosing an instrument and participating in the Beginner or Advanced Band. Trinity Lutheran School also offers a strings club after school for students interested in learning to play the violin, viola, or guitar.

Each spring, we enjoy celebrating our students’ musical and artistic gifts with the K-4 Art Showcase and the Middle School Art Show.
