August Food Pantry Reminder- The next Food Pantry collection will be on August 1st & 2nd. We are currently serving 8 families with your donations. Please drop off your donations to the bins in the narthex of the church on 2nd street or in the shopping cart in the Parish Hall lobby at the school. If you are not on the mailing list, you can still contribute. The Food Pantry currently needs: Toilet paper Canned meat (tuna/chicken) Boxes of cereal Surface cleaner wipes PLEASE, NO GLASS CONTAINERS Money donations or gift cards are also welcome, please mark "Food Pantry" on the envelope. Save August 2 at 12pm on your calendar for a good old fashioned potluck! Trinity is celebrating 185 years and we want to join in thanksgiving to praise God for all He has given Trinity. Start looking through those recipes! This is a true potluck, so bring anything - a main dish, side dish, or a dessert. Food can be dropped off at the Parish Hall any time after 9:15am, or you can bring it with you at noon.

This change of location is being made in order to reduce commute time for those who also wish to take part in the school beautification day. Loss of a Spouse is a 2-hour seminar for people grieving a spouse’s death. It will be held Aug. 16,2026 at Trinity's Parish Hall, 515 S MacArthur Blvd, Springfield, IL from 1-3pm.
The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and widowed men and women.
They offer helpful insights on:
• What to expect in the days to come
• How to deal with the loneliness
• What to do with your spouse’s belongings
• Why it won’t always hurt this much
• And other practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood.
Everyone who attends will receive a booklet with over 30 short readings on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild your life. Preregistration is requested.

Please join us for our Women's Bible Study hosted by Deaconess Sharp on the third Wednesday at 9:30am and the third Thursday at 6:30pm at the Parish Hall to study Women of the Bible, a deep enriched study on women, their time period, and how they help us in our vocations!
This study will meet every 3rd Wednesday and Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall if available.

This meeting will cover youth events for the upcoming year. It will also include information, expectations, and fundraising for those interested in attending the 2028 National Youth Gathering. There will be childcare for those who have children younger than 5th grade.
